Do you have to put in BOTH color & black ink? I only want black ink in my printer, not color. I have in my black ink & a message keeps popping up that I'm missing cartridges. please help!

Thank you for the video, but can you print the alignment page without connecting the printer to the computer/laptop? Because I always connect it to my laptop when it's on.

I do not understand why people say it is wrong because after watching the video I put the ink on the printer within a minute. Very helpful! Thank you!

It's gotta be me. I've loaded these cartridges in the past but I can't get the XL cartridge in. I spent over 50$ for these two cartridges. It's an old printer and I suppose I should have bought a new one. I wonder if the new printers have cartridges easier to install? I know it's simple but I can't do it and am giving up. My frustration level dealing with this is off the chart.

Is a photosmart just for photos or can i print text documents too?

@1Henry15 A photosmart is a name for the style of printers. It can print both photos and text documents with ease. For photos though, I would recommend using HP Advanced Photo Paper for the highest quality photo printouts.
