Quick & Dirty is Womp TV's web series of on-the spot impromptu interviews with bass artists. No preconception. Just straight up Quick & Dirty.
DJ Qbert is one of the most humble people I had the opportunity to ever meet and it was a blessing to sit down and talk to him. He is one of those people who is so positive, sharing, and truly loves what he does that you can feel in his presence. He fills any room with his positive energy and it bounces back through the people who surround him.
In Womp TV's third episode of Quick & Dirty we got the chance to sit down backstage with the legendary turntable tactician DJ Qbert from the Bay Area. He told us about his organic sonic sound that has inspired him over the years to tear up the wheels of steel. We asked him about what he learned over his 25 years of DJ'ing and now an American icon in the music world. We got cerebral and talked about the human condition and the existence of the afterlife. I totally agree with Q on the questions, it's great hearing about the art (of course) but I always wonder what artists think about other aspects of life as well, props for getting it out there.
