This footage is of the 64th Annual Desert Caballeros Ride Parade (April 19th, 2010 at Noon), which is the kickoff for the famous invitation-only horseback ride. The ride is steeped in Western Tradition, and takes the riders from Wickenburg deep into Yavapai County, ultimately returning to town at the end of the week. It is one of only a handful of places in America where you will see a major highway closed for horse traffic. Unofficial count for this year was 168 riders. The transition at 3:00 is because my camera (An old Canon PowerShot A80) has a cutoff at 3:00 of footage. Enjoy the parade!
Looks like fun. I love horses!!
