  • My fathers mixed and I have curly hair I'm with u on the fake hair thing I hate that too but I appreciate you putting up this video because I'm just now getting to the point were I really love my curls and think there beautiful I used to hate it growing up though I can defiantly relate to you!

  • Omg girl you hit thr nail on the head with two statements....one was about touching the hair. I wear different texture wigs ranging from curly to straight and I HATE when people wanna come up and touch them. Real or not that is not ok. Same feelings I have about the belly its just not cool or acceptable

  • Hey Taren, i have mixed hair too and i absolutely loved finding you online.. before u i was frustrated with my hair, i did not know what to use! and in this video u expressed exactly how i feel... gurl! u are the best best best best on youtube!

  • By the way your hair is gorgeous!

  • Thanks so much for this! I'm 17 and about 6 months ago i decided to go natural and not relax my hair anymore. As a kid I HATED my hair! My mom is white and she didn't know what to do with it, so it was frizzy and curly and gross! haha! The transition from relaxed to natural was brutal but now i love my curls! Great to know someone else knows what it was like!

  • did yiur mom or dad have curly hair as well?

  • hi my name is olisha and i am 15 my hair is mixed to in high school it is hard my hair is relaxed right now but it is damaged and i try to keep it curly now but i have to get it wet every day so now my hair dry and breaking off i really need your hair please help

  • omg!!! they called me michael jackson too, lol especially when i went to school with it wet.

  • Lmao OMG.. I will NEVER forget when a girl and her friend walked by me and one of the girls said to me "Oh girl I like your hair" Then she turned to the girl she was with and said "I needa get me some of that hair.. Remind me" I wanted to tell her it was mine... I always had random people running their fingers through my hair.. Weird..

  • I have just now decided to go natural. I hated my hair up to my freshman year of college. I had a hater and she would always talk about my natural hair. looking back I notice she didn't really have much hair. I have always had hair down my back. I damaged it alot trying to perm it and always putting heat on it. now I have lost many inches to my hair. I started not caring in college and I wore it natural. everyone loved it! I am just now learning to love it and take care of it. I embrace it!

  • 4:26 I love that part. ^-^

  • @QueenLoreal

I've had that experience, and it still shocks me every time.

People used to tell me to cut my hair all the time, which made me want to grow it further >:]

It's to my butt now, at least when it's straightened. :D

  • @aamaniskates08

The same thing happend to my cousin. She is Spanish and Black. Let me tell you, her hair was LONG. For whatever reason she wanted to get a perm. When she was 11. Now she hates her hair. But this year. She was told to STOP relaxing her hair, STOP straighting & blow drying, keep it in a pony tail, and add hair moisturizer & hair growth everyday. Look now! The relaxer is leaving and her hair is growing back to her natural hair. I suggest to do the same. Tho, I'm no expert...

  • im 14, & what you described what happened to you, is happening to me RIGHT NOW! im mixed with, black, native american, & spanish, & my natural hair is BOMB, but i permed it in the 6th grade, and now i want it back! idek what to do.. its a mess!

  • your cute. im mix and i have good hair but its still pain to main tan i usually were cornrows to keep my hair from getting tangled.

  • My daughter is 3 years old and her hair looks exactly like yours! I have also been considering getting her some layers because of the triangle appearance. What products do you use to keep the puffy frizz down? I seriously need help! Lol.

  • I would have never guessed you were bi-racial. I think your are a beautiful person and that's what matters. I do wish people wouldn't use the biracial term all the time. It sort of seperates the races. I hope society will change about the race issue one day.

  • I would have never guessed you were bi-racial. I think your are a beautiful person and that's what matters.

  • My hair is like yours and I've had people ask me if it was weave and people walk up and feel my hair strange people but I've grown to love my hair :)

  • i'm glad u made this video :) shows how important hair is to us women

  • My hair is exactly like yours but a little bit shorter, and i love it. Its beautiful straight and curly. I think were lucky to have our hair (:

  • I went through the same questions with locs. My mom even thought they were "added on". LoL!! Now that I've taken them down, I am HOPING I can get it to grow past my shoulders.. I THINK! This stuff is pretty tight and thick. LoL!!

  • YESSSSS! My friend is crazy... he always tells me that its natural hair so it should be a quick style! i am nigerian and white and it takes a lot to maintain my curls.
