What I really wanted to provide with these tutorials was a brief introduction to a number of the concepts involved with certain post production techniques. What I have tried to do is avoid going into too much technical details and describe some of the concepts involved to try and promote an interest and awareness in the subject.
On a practical level however, I felt it was the best way to present a lot of the work from this year, as with a rigged 3D model a still or even the model inside the game itself can't really do it as much justice as sitting 'inside the model' having a look around it, through it, and really getting 'under the bonnet'.
I don't want to go into too much detail about individual sections, however I wanted the videos to capture a broad overview of all the kinds of work I put together, from 2D animations, to 3D tracking to live action compositing to game art. A full, vibrant range of exciting work. Because, frankly on occasion when you are fixing up other people's work, or in the middle of some big project it does on occasion feel I only do some the smallest work on the a project, until you begin to see how much work is sitting there 'underneath.'
Yay! I can learn things! That's awesome! :P
