In Part Four of the discussion, Shlomo Ben Ami discusses the unsustainable political context within Israel that lead to their withdrawal from the Taba talks. Professor Norman Finkelstein goes on to address the question of Anti-Semitism in the US and the role that this factor plays in distorting the case for Palestine.

  • Norman is brilliant!!!!

  • Thumbs up for Mr Finkelstein but also for Mr Ben Ami , he was a polite gentleman which defended his arguments in a reasonable-objective-non-sensationalist way.

  • @hometv1970 Lol, Clinton blaming others again

  • Ben-Ami was foreign minister, so I think he wanted to be careful with his words so he's not labeled as a traitor (see Goldstone). He's a good scholar from what I have read - Israelis usually are not so dishonest when you read their scholarly work. See Benny Morris, good historian, but he has extreme contempt for Arabs/Palestinians and is very dishonest in his commentaries. Interesting debate though

  • Excellent debate. First time I've seen an Israeli spokesperson who hasn't interrupted, diverted the issue or resorted to propagandist outbursts with Norman.

  • @Farnaz1Mansouri1

So your brilliant position is that two wrongs make a right? Because the U.S. committed crimes against humanity, it is okay for Israel to do so? The stupidity of that line of "reasoning" should be obvious.

  • Finkelstein and Vanunu are the bravest jews alive, and the most honest

  • i just want to say to all the zionists and israelese "fuck you"

  • these bastards just need another good kicking! make this bastards humble again!

  • Bill Clinton My Life (Vintage Books 2005) pg 946

"Arafat had said he accepted the parameters with reservations. The problem was that his reservations, unlike Israel’s, were outside the parameters"

  • anti-semite= in opposition to 3% running the world.

  • It's not a debate, they both essentially agree with Ami acting the part of the apologist. Wow.
