I saw Oasis in 2002 and Noel sat down to do an acoustic of Slide Away. Before he started he said, "Alright, now it seems to me like it's always the blokes singing along who ruin it for the ladies. So if you want to sing along, go home and sing along to the records." Personally, I completely agreed with him. I don't pay money to see Oasis just to listen to some idiot behind me yell the lyrics.

I don't think he is disappointed in the crowd here. I think he's pointing out that the American crowd is singing in a British accent. I'm pretty sure he says "that doesn't sound American to me."

its so funny because when he came to argentina he almost cried in that part hearing a crowd that speaks a diferent language singing it so good! OASIS FOREVER
