This was taken at the Wild Bird Walkabout at Tyler, Texas's Caldwell Zoo. This video would have been longer, but someone came by with a broom, scaring the birds off the sidewalk.
No, though I guess the name's kind of misleading. There's a little building (more like a greenhouse, but with a tarp ceiling and enclosed with chicken wire). There are a couple of trees (dead and stripped of leaves) for the birds to fly around and play in. They had way more budgies than I could count, plus quite a few cockatiels and a cockatoo. They sell the popsicle sticks with seeds glued on, and that gets the birds to come closer than they normally would. I have more videos of it.
what is the treat?

Birdseed glued to a popsicle stick. They sell them for something like a dollar a piece, so visitors can feed the birds.
