I finally beat this thing on hard after about one year of playing and formulating strategies... LOL

You will also want to buy fighters, but with no upgrades, get 4 fighters to distract your enemies

First buy one repair upgrade for the drone.
Then buy one repair rate upgrade.
Then just buy all other drone upgrades at random and you should be fine for repair.
For the first 2 stages upgrade your main cannon, then for the third stage, put everything into repair.
And then start buying lazer cannons, maxing out damage (fire rate after you get a few lazers on your ship)

you can repair the ship using the drones.
but you have to invest a lot to see some results though.

no this was my first time playing this level and my recorder sucks so i was lagging and they killed me. im better but i dont know how to repair the ship. i dont think you can. the key thing is at the beginning dont get hurt i think.
