Here is an exciting ride courtesy my Son during a the Mavericks Region DE at MSR Cresson, Texas. Bryce is going through the transition from the old track to the new track and looses it. The result is a trip to the tire barrier.... And some repairs needed on the my 993. Work underway and car should be back on the track in October.

What a way to learn a lesson..... Good news is sheet metal, control arms and pride were the only things hurt in the incident.

  • That looks like a really, really fun track. Sorry about the car :/

  • It is a fun trak in North Texas.... Motorsprot Ranch. This is the 3.1 mile course. We have half a dozen great track around here.

  • Have you changed the steering ratio in this car? Just watching, it looks like about a 10:1. I for one appreciate the quicker ratios...Looking forward to your future posts.

  • As far as I know, the steering ratio is stock? Not sure what stock ratio is relative to the 10:1......... What do you drive?

  • Ive also been into this tire wall, not with me driving, but with an instructor driving his car. It seems the "The Bermuda Triangle" is good at upsetting cars, especially mid/rear engine cars.

I hope all is well and wish the driver good luck.

  • All is well and the car is back on the track. Will be running with several in the NVR-E-NUF Gang the next couple of weekends. Need to get MSR to name all the corners on the new track, "The Bermuda Triangle" needs to be one of them.

  • this does look fun.... i can tell some of the rules of the track are... slower driver must let faster driver pass, slower driver must wave the faster drive by and can only pass on the straights... right?

  • @redfishonfly Thanks Sir, it is fun to post them.

  • @WTFGUY956 That is what I said when I first saw the car..... However, my Son was fine... Which is priorty number one.

  • @qwerty123456789jhdtg Thanks, you will have to do the conversions....

  • Nice telemetry, only one thing missing : speed in kilometers ...

  • Ya that was just a driver error....it happens.......The transition on the pavement there is what caused the loss of grip, but poor ol Bryce just didn't react quick enough. :(

This is why I'm glad I autocrossed (and did some TT for about 2) for about 7 years before hitting the track. Catching slides from 40-90mph is what I learned to do :)

Dad...do you two ever go to any of the Mav Region events @ Mineral Wells?

  • SHIT!

  • I'm glad he and the car ended up ok..always enjoy your videos.
