I woke up this morning and decided to test the changes I made to my capture rig, so I went on STHD, pwned noobs in a tournament mode, and went on to play a ranked match with a good Akuma played by Shinabe Phoenix. My M. Bison isn't even that good compared to the people I played on GGPO and 2DF before. The Xbox Live crowd really needs to step up their game. Now I see why the SRK crew just plays amongst themselves.
Anyway, this video was just another equipment test. I'm now using DScaler 4.1.17 with proper 64-bit driver support which gets rid of a lot of problems I had behind the scenes, like the need to reset my TV card every 5 minutes while recording to prevent desyncs. That coupled with some format changes makes it a lot easier for me to record stuff now. I now record from my old BT878 card's S-Video input in 720x240 XviD with PCM audio and edit with Windows Movie Maker, which saves in 712x400 WMV9. I really want to see how my quality stacks up against most people's YouTube vids for these games.
As it turns out, the day before I uploaded this, YouTube turned on their "Watch in HD" option. The requirements for an HD version include 1280x720 or higher resolution and 6000Kbps bitrate. My TV card is limited to 720x480 SD, so you won't see any HD Street Fighter from me. I think I do pretty well with a TV card I bought for $60 five years ago.
Good stuff! Superb video and sound quality!

XBox live is known to have the lower skilled players. It's mostly filled with the casual players. Which is why the free service of 2DF and the easy use of USB sticks/pads has better gamers on there then the XBL ones.
