A photography project recently got a lot of attention, photographing a staff that had fire on both ends. This is kind of a documentary of how I did it. This is one of those don't try this at home deals. I take no responsibility if you hurt yourself.

  • I'm sure Kevlar wick is much safer. The stick ends weren't a problem, but I did have the rag end fly off the stick, not to mention all the little spark pieces going everywhere if I burnt a rag too long. I had to change rags a couple times to get all the shots I wanted.

  • and yeah kevlar wick is better than rags, there are some with an adhesive backing so you can just tape and wrap it around the pole. have you had any problems with the wooden stick ends BURNING OFF?

    great vid

  • you really need to just buy some kevlar man. this is fun, but this isnt safe like this. great pics tho/

  • Just remember, If you play with fire... your going to get good pictures ;)

  • Looks Cool. Don't think I have the skills for it though

  • This looks really cool, but dangerous.
