American translation: "I'm taking the truck to the 7-Eleven to get a pack of cigarettes and the local newspaper. Do you need anything while I'm there?"
English: "No. Ta!"
American: "That's ok. Thanks though!"
I know it's all colloquial, but it still is very different, and there is translation involved.

@temisola1 I believe you are mistaken actually. I am quite fluent in English, American, Bad English, and Bad American!! But seriously, jokes aside, I've lived in the UK, and speaking from personal experience, I can honestly say that both English and American [english], are different in enough ways that a certain degree of translation needs to be learned in order for full understanding is achieved. Case and point:

ei ciao....non ricordo ki sei!!! ....cmq la tecnica è semplice basta posizionare il wiimote in perpendicolare al monitor del pc e la penna è costruita tramite una batteria e un diodo led(quello ad infrarosso)
