One of the biggest, baddest, bands of the late 70's.....Heatwave! The group featured Americans Johnnie Wilder, Jr. and Keith Wilder (vocals) of Dayton, Ohio, Englishman Rod Temperton (keyboards), Spaniard Mario Mantese (bass), Czechoslovakian Ernest "Bilbo" Berger (drums), Jamaican Eric Johns (guitar) and Briton Roy Carter (guitar).
The guys perform "Groove Line", their super-smash hit from 1978 in this clip. A jam from back in the day!
R.I.P. Johnnie, thanks man.

there were the shit! one of funkiest bands of all time. Love Heatwave. and yes, the LP with the melting hydrant was pretty much in everyone's house in my neighborhood. good times had by all!
