The Iraqi government attacked Iranian opposition camp near Baghdad, on behest of Iran. More than 500 were severely injured, 11 killed and 36 were taken hostage. A court ordered their release for 3 times and the prosecutor also said there is no case against them.
The hostages, the camp residents and their families are on hunger strike. On the 66th day of their hunger strike Iraqi special forces took the hostages to a prison in Baghdad against the Iraqi court order against the Iraqi law and numerous calls from international organizations like Amnesty International and the European Parliament.
There is grave concern for the lives of the hostages. More than anything it is a disappointment in Obama's administration who were supposed to protect these people as part of a treaty they signed in 2003. However, Mr. Obama has apparently chosen Ahmadinejad over Iranian people and their legitimate human rights.
