Le Cimetiere Du Pere Lachaise/The Severed Garden (WELL WAS TILL WMG COMPLAINED)

this HOLIDAY video originally included the great song "severed garden" by Jim Morrison.. unfortunately WMG (Warner music group) in there continuing quest for more money from youtube decided that my little holiday video was worth charging me with copyright on... So if you want to hear it as intended.. try playing the song along with it, in the meantime thanks WMG for being so damn petty...
(it does of course mean the photo fading bears no relation to the music)

Part one of some video from our yearly visit to paris.. Clips from around the graveyard at Pere Lachaise. The music is Severed Garden by Jim Morrison from the American Prayer album, (also used as the ending on the oliver stone film "The Doors"). Made to lead into our second pere lachaise video (so the effects are the same etc), there where ravens everywhere that day (who didnt really lead us to jims grave, but it makes it look good).. Its just a shame that Jims grave has become such a tourist spot with people laughing and smiling for photos, with very few true people there to pay there respects. A shame, but we and a few others where.

Whats really interested me over the two films we have done of pere lachaiseis how much music effects the film. In the one with la chanson des vieux, the camera seems lost, not knowing where it is going, aimlessly wandering and that is caused by the music. In the video with Jim Morrison music, the camera seems to be walking, towards where it is going, jims grave, helped by a kindly raven.. Amazing how much music can change perspective..

Whenever WMG has a song removed - Everyone go to Limewire or Torrent search for the song and download it for free (to protest)

Instead of merely viewing it contained within the FLASHPLAYER and stuck on YOUTUBE, now we will really be stealing it.

Too bad, WMG you are too shortsighted and you are pissing people off. Try advertising with YOUTUBE next time instead. That's where your audience is.
