@fr3dfun i think no matter how the people clapped(assuming they don't change tempo etc) it'd sound good... first of all you'd have to do a lot of crap do make this performance sound bad and second: it does have snare accents on 2 and 4 so they could clap on 2 and 4 with those snares or on all 4 beats together with the bassdrum and snare... OR... they could actually even clap on 1 and 3 which would give a nice effect because the snare accents on the other 2 beats so they would kinda "take turns".

@tylerbirchperc yeah but in benny and the jets, the snare is on the 3 of each bar, which cant really compare to this, where the snare is on the 2 and 4. It is tight though, good shout

@tombokickass Notice how the audience is clapping on 1 2 3 and 4 and how the drummer displaces the second back-beat when they start clapping. I think the claps provide a great rhythmic layer! Listen to how funky and tight Benny and the Jets by Elton John is... all the handclaps are on 1 and 3!

@tombokickass I feel you, but I still disagree. Thanks for replying in a sophisticated way! Unlike everyone else on Youtube.
