A rare film documentary film about Dr. Sir Muhammad Iqbal (1877-1938), popularly known as Allama Iqbal, this was prepared on celluloid by left-leaning luminaries during the era of Field Marshall Ayub Khan (1958-1969), banned by the ruling regime and released later on an international scale, this documentary focuses on the revolutionary aspects of Iqbals thought and tries to convey the vibrant zeal and vision of the Poet-Philosopher: the passionate shout of inqilab (revolution) was raised by the man who was after his death to be hailed as the sage and seer of Pakistan. In Urdu with subtitles in English, and followed by a review discussion with Dr. Akbar S. Ahmed (Iqbal Chair, Cambridge University) and Dr. Saeed Akhtar Durrani (Chairman, Iqbal Academy UK).
