WRX THIRD GEAR SNAP

Gear down from 4th to 3rd ... went into gear fine once took foot off clutch and then accelerated the gear snapped.

Got a STI gearbox in it now :) a lot stronger. & no it was a TAXI and i just blew my gearbox i wasnt going that fast lol.

@bmw5002 Lmao lm sorry lm laughing at the reaction l would be the same way if l blew my EVO 9 trans that way doin a simple pull in a tunnel. Now as far as STi's pushin 700 hp+ on stock gearboxes wont happen the closest would be mid 500s to the wheels on the stock 06+ STi's and later trannys then you're just breaking stock axles which maybe a little cheaper but should be less down time.

Blew my 02 up 2 times now. With only 270 whp and not really launching or shifting hard either. Just the torque from the boost hit blew it both times. 2nd went one time and 3rd went the other. 02-03 5 speeds are notoriously weak. 04+ are slightly better. I have an 04 trans now and seems to be holding up well, knock on wood. The stis don't have this problem at all. Some Sti guys are pushing 700 hp + on the stock 6 speed gearbox.
