  • I just fell in love with this man recently and he became my inspiration to spoken word. He's gone, but for me, he isn't.

  • What a lame ass audience! If I were there I would be jiggin it, I don't give a fuck! Gil's the shit, he really is

  • Dope!

  • DX7 YOU KNOW !

  • I come here almost every day to see and to listen to Gil. I got addicted to his music and words.

  • I couldn't hear Mr. Heron say who was on the drums. Anybody know who was playing them?

  • Everytime I come here this song have the same great power.

  • Read the book by John Fuller...

    We Almost Lost Detroit.

  • I was in Takoma Park and asked......

  • @MrSafeboss flaccid ones at that! *D

  • I saw Gil in concert just before his death. Back then I didn't know much about his music and his political message. Only now do I understand the chance I had to share a moment with him. He always repeated "Enjoy yourself". And we did. He is one of the few artists who create something strong in its presence. How many artists will defend the people, freedom and stand against poverty, consumption society, political opression and so on.. and bring poetry to this? Thanks for all Mr Gil Scott Heron.
