  • Bloody hell, I love Mishima and I love Philip Glass' divine music. Where have I been to not hear about this!!!

  • @tapesan09 If by "did" you meant "directed," Martin Scorsese "did" Taxi Driver and The Last Temptation of Christ. Schrader wrote both but didn't direct them. Also, The Last Temptation is an adaptation of a book by the same name. However, both of those films are amazing and I look forward to seeing this one as well.

  • MISSIMA, IS ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL AND UNIQUE WORKS OF SCHRADER

COMBING NOT ONLY NARRATIVE AND THEMATICAL APPROACHES BUT ALSO FORMAL ONE TO DRIVE THE VIEWER INTO THE IMAGE.

SERIUS ATTENTION AT THOSE WILL REVEAL A DIFFERENT PAUL.

  • That film was done by Paul Schrader who did CAT PEOPLE, AMERICAN GIGOLO, TAXI DRIVER, LIGHT SLEEPER, THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST, & AUTO FOCUS. It is a very beautiful film he has made, and very good as CAT PEOPLE & THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST. I am a huge Paul Schrader fan out there!! John Bailey (the cinematographer) does the cinematography with him, just like they did in AMERICAN GIGOLO & CAT PEOPLE.
