  • machida is doing koshi and kubi mawashi geri!!

  • this is koshi mawashi geri!!you can easly knock out some one with that using a minimum energy for strike!!

  • that other guy must be his brother, still i love the shotokan moves

  • @WingChunMonkey Shotokan

Ball of the foot - Chudan

In-step of the foot - Jodan

As demonstrated. Although both are very effective.

IMO the most important kick you will learn.

  • awesome asian skills

  • @phenoxphlyer I actually am 3rd dan in Shotokan Karate and know the frustrations you've fallen into with defending your style. Wing Chun though is effective based on the situation of quick and dirty street fighting. It is a system based more on concepts than techniques. Angles and chain strikes. Its also only as effective as the practitioner using it. And the dedication to the training. "The juice is worth the squeeze" -Forrest Griffin

  • @WingChunMonkey hey im assuming by ur name u no wing chun im a 1st dan in a goju style karate and was wondering if wing chun is as sper effective as everyone says it is cause i no people say karate isnt but i no how effective it is and ive always like wing chuns close combat

  • With good balance and control you can sneak this kick in at multiple angles and if you actually use the ball of your foot at the point of impact and your target is the temple, you can likely generate enough force to cause a shattered orbital or instant knockout. The whipping action of the foot and lower leg scientifically ensure more force stays in the target and not reverberate back into your leg lessening the impact. It's a solid technique that I would suggest any serious fighter learning.
