I was lucky enough to meet Miss Horne after a show at The London Palladium in the 80s...she was so warm and friendly and invited me into her dressing room ...she loved that I was a songwriter and was so interested in younger talent. I have never forgotten her kindness...she was a great lady. xx

Since she was a conservative and not a liberal, a black lady who always told the truth and fought for justice and respect, the liberal media and Hollywood didn't pay much tribute to this icon of the American culture. Eternal repose to your soul beautiful Lena. Nobody like you.

@outinsider Your use of the language, left a lot to be desired, in your response to Daily, as did the woe is me attitude. That being said.... I looked at Daily's initial post on this topic and he appears to be quite the moron. I can see how he would illicit an emotional response, that appears in fact, to be his goal. In the process however, be not only lured you into his ugly debate, he also tripped himself up, with his foolish tone.
