The Millennium Gate will be situated in a beautiful lakeside park in Atlantic Station, a new "city within a city" located in Midtown Atlanta at the former site of the Atlantic Steel Mill.
i'd agree with you if this made any sense, lol. you couldn't be suggesting an abandoned steel plant is better than a mixed use development right next to a city's central district... but i think you are.
yeah the arch is half-assed and out of place, but it has grown on me somewhat. and atlantic station is a good thing, as plain or even outright ugly as its architecture might be.
brilliant! I love it! Don't change a single thing. Tear down everything else within a quarter of a mile so we can all celebrate ineptitude and uncreativity!
Hrm... 17th St has been reduced from 6 lanes to 4 (8 to 4 if you count the missing bike lanes). And the cars are driving at 10mph? A utopian view I suppose...
it was really awesome! i was there when it opened! my bff is the daughter of the guy who built it....so it's pretty cool
