Leehom singing on the Beijing TV channel to celebrate the lunar new year. This song is so touching. Good job, Leehom!

  • @tupac0306: Any proofs? How can he lip sync with playing piano?

  • I never said this was on CCTV. I just said that it was a pity that CCTV didn't arrange Leehom to sing a solo.

  • This song is called "elder brother". It talks about a younger brother's love for his elder brother.

  • EPIC ! <3 it bro

  • @felixshengyang Goodness! Thanks for that. I loved watching him belt out some unbelievable vocals like Stevie Wonder with one of his other songs, "龙的专人," from his MUSIC MAN Tour in 2009-2010, which usually is sung after "花田错." This guy only made me love him, Stevie Wonder, and MJ even more. Just to point out, the Eb isn't in degree 5, it's in the 6th. The thing that surprised me was he never was a tenor back when he was in college, but rather more of a baritone. He's just awesome.

  • @generouskaz @generouskaz this video is definitely lip-sync... however leehom can sing an Eb5 using his chest voice (this video at 3:05 htt****p://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjIwMjMyNjMy.html remove the stars!) he usually uses his head voice to make high notes sound softer i think

  • One thing I did catch when rewatching this is that there is a good chance that Leehom was not playing the piano immediately after his piano solo. The piano solo was beautifully phantasmagorical and I bet he definitely could play and sing the whole song flawlessly without the lip-synching (if he ever did lip-synch for this performance). If you need proof Leehom can beat it out at those high notes while playing the piano, just go watch a live video of "Wei Yi" where 100% of it is legitimate.

  • @tongzilla I personally love rewatching and relistening to Leehom's cover of this because his vocals are just so finely in tuned when undertaking the entire chorus. The passaggio is of course the break point between chest and head voice registers. For guys, it's typically around F4 to C4. If you ask me, I'd say the B4 towards the end of the chorus would be above his passoggio, but then again, I don't really know Leehom's voice that well. All I know is he rarely goes above B flat.

  • @generouskaz which part are those notes above his passagio?

  • However , I know China TV usually required singer record before the show then replace the real live version to that one. I watched the whole show and all singers seemed to be too perfect.
