Arrrgh this was a hell of a lot of work, It's been a little side project for me whilst I finish storyboarding some effects for Doctor Who: Alternate 11 and wait for my workload for Doctor Who 2009 to start.

The elements were all created in vector art (allowing me to upscale them to high resolutions) and then each element was animated separately in a number of pre-comps. I would go into detail about how I made this, but I'm sure you can't be bothered to hear about it =p
The music of Patrick Wolf and Stephen Malkmus fueled my brain whilst I was working on this.
Also, much, MUCH love for BBC Wales Graphics and The Mill for creating the original.

If you can decipher the text in the top right circle, you win a prize =p

For those of you who want to use my work in your own videos, please sit tight for a while, I'm working on a website project which will provide graphical and video resources for all you budding fanfilm makers. I'll make a vlog post about that soon.

About the Screensaver:
It's a 30 second looped version of the screensaver video.
The Standard Screensaver is in 1024x800 and is a 7.83MB zipped .exe file.
The Widescreen Screensaver is in 1280x800 and is a 7.83MB zipped .exe file.
Created using Screensaver Wonder 4.
(There is a watermark on them, if anyone wants to help me make it with a different program, send me a message, and we'll make some new ones)

Also, please be aware I have limited bandwidth, so download sensibly... also, if anyone wants to give the .zip files a permanant home off my server, please message me.

Thanks again to everyone who's shown me support and encouraged me to finish this.
You're amazing.

  • iScreensacer works for Macs. Just convert the .swf to a .mov, then drag the new .mov into iScreensaver. Then click build. It will now create an install, so find the install it just made and double click.

  • @ninjaboytellem4 Cheers dude!

  • well first of all everyones computer wont download it and second it always comea up bad

  • @review311 So you couldn't download it on anyone's computer. But when it did download, it was 'bad'?

You know what logic is, right?

If anyone has any virus errors with this, please flag them up, and I'll try and take them more seriously than this one.

  • its a virus stop trying it out

  • @review311 If you've got some proof that this is flagging up as a virus, I'd appreciate it.

  • @review311 I downloaded the flash videos and the recommended screen saver program and now I have this as my screen saver. I've had NO warning about virus' and everything was scanned and checked out...? Depending on your windows settings though, you may have manually checked that certain unsigned files and such were 'potentially dangerous' and thus are blocked
