Enoch Powell was unjustly abused by the left and exploited by the far right. This man who fought the Nazi's, pushed for the abolition of the Death Penalty and for homosexual law reform was no simple reactionary but rather a complex man who sought to understand and explain complex issues. He might not always have been right but at least he had convictions,courage, eloquence and a respect for the institutions of this country that New Labour seem intent on crushing.

N!gger was not always a term of insult, that why the people were comfortable in using the word. Look up the origin (etymology) of the word and you'll see what it really means. It was even used in book titles like the "The Nigger of the Narcissus: A Tale of the Sea" by Joseph Conrad. There is nothing remotely racist in the book at all. The main character is a West Indian. In PC Armerica it was renamed "The Children of the Sea: A Tale of the Forecastle".

I'm from Canada, I love Britain, I love british history, I LOVE british politics, and learning about famous politicians, and I can say, from what I've learned and read about Powell, I find him to be a well-spoken, courageous man who stood up for his ideals......Nice, but moving, music at the beginning by the way.

It always amuses me when I see the BNP using Enoch. They reject capitalism, yet Powell was a Thatcherite before Thatcher.

Problem is, a massive level of multicultural immigration is happening throughout the Western world. So no country is willing to stick its neck out and be the "black sheep" on this issue. They know they'd instantly be compared with the countries still permitting immigration and painted as the bad guy.

The whiny leftist weasels will be the first to moan about the destruction of native cultures when those cultures aren't white, but when its our culture that's threatened, who cares!
