I agree it is sad and disheartening to see people hold on to racial prejudice (pathetic really).
However this is not only black history/culture. This is human culture!
The words "black history" annoy me to no end as it suggests it is somehow different than other human history...
Can we stop driving wedges into us please( We, the people, we have many colors, we speak many languages, and this is our shared history)
anyway... end rant.

is this from the book?

@B7acKLioN No actually the life expectancy was about 40, Ramses II is an uncommon example and what's more drawn from the upper-classes (who had a slightly longer life expectancy ~45). Thus it is clear that priests started to be priest at a pretty young age (maybe ~20). However, clearly the more they live, the higher the rank.
-
@DeusVivus dude you said that they started preistly function's at a young age ''no shit''.if it takes 40 years they strted appr at a young age lmao...an alot of people at that time died at a very old age ramessou i died at approx 105 years old...
-
@B7acKLioN That is just not true in Ancient Egyptian society. Sons of pharaohs would typically assume priestly functions at a young age, see for example Rahotep (see wikipedia Prince Rahotep) who was among other things, priest of Ra and died young.
-
@DeusVivus he did not die between 40-50 lmao...you start off as a priest at 47 it take's about 40 years to beecome one...
-
amazing !!!!
It's really disappointing and embarrassing how one can be assured that if there is any type of video on YT regarding Black history or culture, there will be some racist making absurd comments. 2011 or not. I now feel sorry for these people. I can't imagine how it is to feel so unimportant.
