One dive at Point Lobos. Reports of a recent upwelling promised excellent viz and we wanted to collect on that promise.

Shot with the Flip UltraHD, Ikelite underwater housing and Inon UWL-100 wide angle lens.

  • how do u waterproof it?

  • @tubble6 You have to get a separate underwater housing. Depending on how deep you go, it can run anywhere from a few dollars (good for swimming, snorkeling) to a couple hundred dollars (for scuba).

  • Will it take a bag around the camera or can do without.

  • @romanotjuh2 That may work for snorkeling, but if you descend below 2-3m the camera would get crushed in a plastic bag. You would need to put it in a hard underwater case for scuba.

  • lol u would be screwed if you droped it xD goodbye camera ="(

  • @45cookie1 That's why I try very hard NOT to drop it :) I have it on a line, bolt-snapped to my wrist gauges, to prevent accidental drops.
