Antenna ready for the RSGB 80m SSB CC Contest 24/6/10 - M0VST

I thought that was a bit easy to find a frequency..... I'm an hour early!
Lets hope I see 100 qso's off atleast.

The mast is 12 meters long Racal model 714

I bought it from hamfest in newark last year for £100

I often see them at military shows like beltring for sale.

I had to find a baseplate and make my own guy ropes for it.

Hi Robin, long time no hear

It was a heavy contest, I trying to hit 4 qso's a minute but no such luck.

I finished on 146 which is my personal best.

Hello there what type off telescopic pole are you using

Its a Racal 714 aluminium push up type used my the British army with their Clansman kit. It is ground mountable or vehicle mountable and is easy carried and erect by 1 man... me!

Its very strong and very light, it has a maximum headload of 7kg
