Tommy Hinnershitz- The King of Sprint Car Racing Past

TOMMY!!!! Should you be a sprint car fan, and respect it's history, well you need to know about this man. He was a farmer that lived close to the scene of AAA/USAC racing in the Central Pennsylvania area. 103 vitories, 9 major titles, all in an open cockpit race car, with skinny tires. He was fast, but also smart enough to survive. You see, Tommy would note anything that could take him out, and would likewise pull back when it WAS the smart thing to do. But, when the conditions were right enough, Tommy would go into full battle and emerge most times , the MAN. Jud Larson called him 'Old Hayshaker". Jud and Tommy became good friends.
