Fuck me. No dont! But the colour purple from 1983 (book) 1985 (film). Come better! Speilberg made Amistad and has adopted black children. But really, so what! This is the BBC! Your point is terrible! The days are long and are the same heruchuku! Your brain wont allow you to understand or overstand such fine and intricate details! THIS SHOW IS DEAD, BURIED AND WAS HURRIED OFF THE AIR! Brapppppppp!

You don't need a black writer to be able to tell a black story all the time. (The creator and one of the writers are black) but who cares. What you need is someone who understands and appreciates the culture. Steven Spielberg isn't black and he created the colour purple
-
And further more this show isn't trying to appeal to a small minded audience that always has an issue whenever a black person appears on telly. "Oh they're selling out" "oh that's not how black people are." So I ask you...how are black people then.

Honestly some people need to lighten up and embrace fresh ideas.
This is a fresh comedy which shows young and talented black people in a positive light. People with charisma, drive, passion and talent: so if this is how the BBC perceive young black people isn't that a good thing?

Saw this show and thought it was brilliant.
People expect too much nowadays, and black actor/actress should not have to carry the black flag! Long are those days! Move on! It's called progression. And as this show continues to grow so will more and more opportunities unfold. This sitcom is just what TV needs, something light hearted and fun
