Samay are a unique collective of musicians who bring their individual style, strength and passion to exploring new ways of understanding and making music...to create a powerful and distinctive sound that is, so far unknown to the western or eastern world. They achieve this by simply taking the classical and traditional sounds of India as a base from which to construct original arrangements, adding a touch of world folk and Jazz, ultimately, creating a new musical language where the idiom is contemporary, the lexicon derived from the multicultural diaspora of 21st Century Britain for the global listener.
