floatingdebris, might I suggest you are being a tad too fussy. Tis true a word was spelt wrongly but does that necessarily 'ruin' the 'excellent homage'? Lose not your sense of humour in pursuit of defence of unecessary exactitude.

So... How many pounds did they spend...?
OHHHHH IT ALL MAKES WORK FOR THE WORKING MAN TO DO!

I accidentally stumbled across this. I laughed and smiled. Thanks!

Love the song to bits. First heard it when I attended boarding school and my roommate played it to me.
One tiny quibble, if you paint over the gas-tap, then it's the painter you want returning with some turpentine (I just had some bad experience with dried ink/paint yesterday myself at the office), rather than the gasman. Maybe the gasman has turpentine too!

I heard this song for the 1st time when I was 13 on a British airways flight from South Africa. Fantastic.

This will always remind me of my childhood living in Broxburn Drive South Okendon Essex in the 60s & listening to this and other tracks from my Mum's "Drop Of A Hat" L.P. It is such a long time ago now, but it is still fresh in the memories how does music do that? Lovely to hear this again after all these years. Thanks MDaisyC for posting and transporting me back in time.
