From 1941 to 1951, Elsa Lanchester, whose character creations delighted Los Angeles audiences for ten years, performed a sort of music hall/cabaret act as part of the show at the Turnabout Theater in Hollywood. Songs written for her by Forman Brown include "Catalogue Woman", "It's Nice to See You're Back" and "When a Lady Has a Piazza".

  • I'ts from a documentary on The Yale Puppeteers, who, eventually started The Turnabout Theatre in Los Angeles, and Elsa was their main star.

  • First of all... THANK YOU for uploading this. I have all four of Elsa's albums (yes, she released four) and have never seen ANY footage of her singing live. I'm overwhelmed at seeing this. Second, where does this footage come from, and do you have any more?

  • I used to have this whole album on tape, but lost it years ago. I'm so glad to hear this again!
