  • great playing are there some tabs for this song?

  • Yes. I can't post links here, but Google "Sweet Georgia Brown" and the word "tablature", and you'll find what you want.

  • Great playing Duck - can you do a lesson on this tune - cant figure some of the passing chords etc ?

  • I'd suggest trying to contact Duck Baker through his website, as there's no guarantee that he ever reads comments or looks at videos that other people such as myself have posted of him.

  • wow

  • I'm throwing my guitar into the Chimnea.

  • Do you know what that superior skill is an indication of?................A mis-spent childhood =D

  • For those people wanting to learn this, check out stefan grossmans website. Duck's DVD is on there. He also covers Georgia and does a great job. He breaks down the tunes and gives suggested licks as the chords move through the progression. I saw duck in feb in London and it was a real buzz for me to see him live. I was about 10 feet away trying to steal licks. Hope this helps.

  • excellent...loved that

  • I love Duck Baker's work. But, what surprises me- Isn't that a flamenco guitar?

  • He sure can play......first saw him back in about 1976; he was playing on one of those old 'Kicking Mule' tours with Grossman, Dave Evans etc. Twas odd at first to see a nylon stringer hacking out those tunes/rags etc. But, Hell, he's just got better with age!

  • Like most of Duck's stuff...his tone is something you have to get used to (choice of guitar and amplification are a bit on the plunkety side), but the musicality of it all...that is where it, is at. And he is there where it is. While I can't say I have heard others play Sweet Georgia Brown on guitar, I can say this is some very fine acoustic guitar wizardry.

  • lotta tricks up this mans sleeve. good lord

  • Hi - would that have been the Art's Cente Bothy Club - wow- just remembered that night if that was the one - dragged my non-folky mate Marcus there to see the real "Boss - pretty much converted him that night! Great stuff
