Our home in Cordova, Alaska got hit pretty badly by feet and feet of snow this January. Here's a shot of our "driveway" which had chest-deep snow. A literal pain in the back-side, but the dogs were in heaven!

  • Did this snow all fall in january? You titled this video post, "How we sent snowpocalypse', as in past tense....Anyway we here in Vancouver are known for our cloudy skies, 300 dayswhere it's cloudy, not that it's wet outside, ok. We had a white xmas in '08 where we had 38' of now over much of greater Vancouver but we used tons of salt so the main roads were okey there was no snowremoval, just plowing & then the rain came back. This is a city of 2 million & not Cordova..U can handle tons@Snow

  • @Ezdduf4kuZ This all came between Jan 1 and Jan 6, 2012. The entire town shut down for one day on the 6th and has been slowly opening up and getting back to normal since. So everyone in town had a Snowpocalypse "Snow Day" on the 6th and this is what we did... and then we shoveled, shoveled, shoveled and haven't stopped yet. :)

  • who the hell would want to live there?

  • @ducheau100 I do, I do! :)

  • It was 80 degrees over here in Arizona a couple days ago. Why do you live there? Seems like it would be a cool place to visit but not to live!

  • @sorich This is THE.BEST.PLACE to live... except for right now :)

  • so lucky

  • omg i love that

  • i do wanna live there

  • You guys are stealing all our snow! I hope some of it makes it's way to Montreal before Old Man Winter throws in the towel.

Really cool footage here. Maybe it's the lack of snow speaking here, but I'd love to experience something like that first-hand.

  • I'm in Portland Oregon. We live on the the Columbia River Gorge. We can bet on at least one DAY (sometimes only hours) of snow per year. Our area seems to be perfectly placed at the 50/50 line. There is a 50% chance it could be snow or it could be rain. I'd love to experience an 18' dump of snow. Enjoy the epic memories. Thanks for the vid.

  • Dang, that is a lot of snow! I'm in Fairbanks, and we haven't seen anywhere close to that. A pain to move, but gorgeous to look at. What kind of camera did you use for this?
