Watch as an old brick fireplace is transformed into a stunning new stone fireplace. Pinnacle Stone's 100% natural thin stone veneer west mountain product was used to cover the existing brick. Watch the before and after.

  • Tater824, Thanks for the great question! Yes, if the brick is unpainted, you can simply apply a mortar scratch coat over the brick then apply the thin stone veneer right onto that.  If the brick is painted, you will need to install a metal lathe over the painted brick, then apply a scratch coat over the lathe.

  • does stone veneer go right over the brick? might be a stupid question but that first fireplace is identical to mine and im looking for easy ideas
