  • Lived in the city of LA, not the burbs for 7 years, transplanted to SLO. LA has people that are more street smart and those on the street have a lot more common sense. Actually, the whole rhythm of LA is fairly cold but no BS. You don't have such a young concentration of street punks in LA because they'd all get eaten for breakfast. You also don't have the random drunk episodes as much. That said, SLO is 100 times cleaner, safer, less crowded and more charming.

  • Born in SLO. It doesn't get any better! Always great to come home to! Everyone I bring to visit wants to stay!

  • Too bad for SLO. Too many tourists. Hooray for Ralph Johnson, the farmer in the video. By the way, stop by on certain saturdays in the summer for sweet corn. Grown Right here in Edna.

  • @wrathofme03 I used to live in San Luis in and my friends and I were driving down Higuera St. when someone offered me something to eat and we stopped. While I was eating it I asked him what it was and he said Rocky Mountain Oysters. It took a moment for me to realize what he just said.

  • im in boston now and good god i miss my hometown slo ...cant WAIT to go back in winter...but the poly kids can act a little dumb though..other than that...perfect place

  • you didnt include bubblegum alley!?

  • wtf are you talking about? you're an idiot...

  • haha after farmers market is when all the fucking cops come out to arrest and question anyone under the age of thriety. Take a drive down marsh and higuera streets and tell me you dont see fkashing cop lights for some bullshit. just thought id get that off my chest and let anyone under the age of 30 know to not drive around in slo at night cuz the cops are the most dangerous thing in SLO

  • HAHA! I completely agree!

  • I love Mother's Tavern! The floors not a great dance floor, but you can't beat a free venue.
