This video takes a closer look at the STI pistols I used for my competition video footage. This is filmed purely "off the cuff" and as I stated in the video, I may not be 100% correct so please take it with a grain of salt.

  • I was just in TX visiting a friend and did not get a chance to tour STI. I was wondering if you have ever used or handled STI's aluminum grip? I have been thinking of purchasing an STI either the tactical or edge. I would love it if the edge had the railing like the tactical.

  • @MAKAOFA I have not used the Aluminum grips yet. I know SV came out with them first and they are/were having some issues with them cracking. STI was doing something to get around this for theirs. Not sure if they fixed it yet. I would hold off on getting one until there is a better track record. Have you seen the pics on my FB page with the STI tour? I still need to edit and publish those videos.

  • @nictaylor00 no I think I saw the one of DP. Send me the link for the STI tour. Thanks.

  • @MAKAOFA I have more on the DP tour coming. The reloading room is AMAZING! I have not posted any videos of the STI tour yet, I only uploaded some pictures on my FaceBook Page. I'll try and email you a link to th epics if you can't see the pics on FaceBook. I think you should be able to see them even if you are not "on facebook".

  • I got four dawson base pads that came with a used magazine. The only thing I don't like about it is that they are red. How can change the color on them? Anybody?

  • @JPEBeard They are anodized. I guess you could paint them. Other than selling them and buying another color I'm not sure what you could do.

  • Thanks for getting back to me, cant wait.

  • Had a dream of world warZ and I had to kill them with a pan. So when I woke I need to buy a gun

  • @JPEBeard you could take them to your local anodizing shop and have them anodized

  • @rippspeed1 They act as a shock buffer between the frame and slide. You should use them if you have a light weight recoil spring. The rubber shock buff give you a bouncy feeling as compared to the aluminum one that are more like a dead blow hammer. I am working on a video about recoil springs so be sure and subscribe so you will get notification when it comes out. I think it will explain a lot of things about recoil spring weight.
