She obviously did do something, even if she was'nt as legendary as she's made out she obviously helped. People don't go down in history like that for doing "nothing". There are literally thousands of people helping others every day that we won't ever know about, but that does'nt make those that we do know about any less deserving.

Did Mary Seacole have the statistical and mathematical background that Florence Nightingale had? Which was crucial in converting a sceptical medical establishment to the important of her methods.

If you think that Florence's major contribution to Evidence Based Medicine (the single scientific discovery that has probably saved more lives than any other) is 'nothing' then you are ignorance in the extreme.

@macgroover i learnt about this in high school, they praised nightingale because she was white and didnt want the uk knowing that seacole actually saved people while nightingale took all the credit

Can you not bring Mary Seacole into this please.. just leave it okay ! yes she would have got more attention AT THE TIME if she was white but her developments werent as big as Nightingale its just a fact ... even though i prefer Seacole because she wasnt ignorant to new things like Nightingale e.g Germ Theory and people who look different from her
