The answer is to eat more. Take a weight gainer or you could combine carbo gain with protein and olive oil. My post-workout shakes are almost 1000 calories and I basically need that to gain weight because I'm an ectomorph like you.

you should be eating more than 3000 calories you should try to be eating about 5000-6000 a day if you find it hard to eat that much you should try supplementing with a good weight gainer which you can take once or twice a day a shake is about = to a meal but you should eat 4 meals and a shake or two

You'll hit your goals, best advice I can offer is to be patient. Stick at it and maybe not over a few weeks, maybe even not too noticeable over a couple of months, but after the weeks and months add up, you'll see ridiculous gains with the right foods and training programme. @ItsNickJames11 i disagree...For someone like him he needs carbs carbs carbs. Im 23 and i was about his size about 6 months ago at 160lbs and now im 210lbs. the way i did it was i had to do 6 sets of very heavy weight and every 2 hours i ate at least 30g protein and about 40g carbs from brown rice/sweet potato/oats. Once a week i ate all the crap i could ie: triple bacconator, cheese fries, and basically anything with crap in it. ive gone from deadlifting 150 to 400... just eat more man.

3000 Calories a day isn't shit. If your eating seven meals a day, then that is only about 450 calories a meal. Step your shit up and put down at least 600 calories a meal bro.

Ecto meso or endo. It dosent matter, anyone can built a great physique regardless of which kind of physique you have.
Eat less meals, around three or four. This will make your body hold on to the fats and such for a longer period of time because it thinks it is being starved. Also eat around the same amount of calories but make sure you are getting enough carbs. Hope this helps.
