that diesel engine looks like a 5.9 cummins engine with the individual valve covers
and it is a 12 valve engine.....not the newer 24 valve
they call it the 6 B engine

I actually don't own any diesels, they are all gas.

Chad, it would be neat if you could work at getting the best of your buses ready for inspection so you could drive it further than your yard. I think most places make a distinction between a bus thats driven to carry passengers and one that doesn't, and it determines what type of license the operator has to possess.

I will have to do that...The 1978 International bus has its insurance policy kept current but needs its tags and inspection renewed. I did drive it out on the road several years ago but now it needs the carb rebuilt. It was actually driven out to my place. Eventually I would like to get the other ones in road-worthy condition (tires and brakes are the biggest problems) but at least they have been saved from the junkyard. They had not driven on the road in many years and were towed to me.
