@WestonMossman That worked pretty well for me too. It's not too difficult to transpose the low B string and just play the song in drop D Some parts are pretty tough like the tapping part on the low B early in the song. I used A as the root for that instead of B, sounds in tune. Not 100% accurate when you do it this way, but you can at least get comfortable with the song. :)
