This is my 10 Gallon, rimless mangrove tank. It has around 30 mangroves, lots of oval blade macro algae, around 10 lbs pf live rock, 20 lbs of live sand and 2 GSP's. I wanted to give the GSP's a natural environment. They love crushed coral substrate and chew it often to dull their ever growing beak. I acclimated them from fresh to marine in 30 min. debunking the myth that it has to be done over a period of months to years. Iv'e owned these guys for a few years in both fresh, brackish and marine and they are quite hardy and adapt rather quickly to saltwater. They are one of my favorite fish... They are very happy to this day and look more healthy and active than they did in fresh water.

  • @ArizonaFishkeeping Salinity at .024... Acclimation was a day and they are thriving. It goes against everything you would read in acclimation but honestly the puffers are dying to be in salt. They look more alive and healthy in salt.

  • @kristinadiane1230 Thanks... The more space you have the less chance of puffers being aggressive towards each other... 2 might be much for a 10 gallon. I recommend 15 or 20 gallon for 2 depending on how big they are. They have moved by the way to a larger system

  • @pat8683 Yes you can... Salinity at .024

  • @VincentKim1215 I think oval blade

  • Can you also help me with your 2.5 gallon pico setup with the clown fish and watchman goby? What did you use equipment wise?

  • @reefwanter My equipment was a standard 2.5 gallon AGA, Toms mini power-filter, Elite mini filter (for extra circulation) exoterra fixtre for reptile habitats and a coralife 20-watt incandescent 50/50 bulb. All was purchased at Petsmart for under $80

  • You have done things perfectly.

  • what's the name of plants on the rocks?

  • yoooooooooooooo GABA GABA!

  • what is your water salinity? can you take mangroves from the wild and put them in your tank because i can't find them anywhere

  • did you get these two gsp's at the same time? I've had one in a 36 gallon tank for about a year now and want to get another one but am unsure of how they would act together. All of your aquariums and videos are awesome by the way

  • Two gsps in a ten gallon isn't wise, below two inches they get along great with each other and freshwater, after that they get a little territorial and while they typically need a 30 gallon for one two will eventually need a 55 gallon you can get by on less with extra filtration (nice plants, my puffer is beating my amazon sword to death) but they might not like being too close to each other as they start acting like grown up predators.
