I am learning Spanish using Rosetta Stone (RS). Currently, I am on Level One.
My previous foreign language experience includes French in High School.

So far my lessons have been slow and deliberate, but RS is easy to use. I find the pronunciation to be the most challenging, but I'm getting better with practice. I supplement my lessons with workbooks I had already purchased before using Rosetta Stone.

  • Also ¿ and ¡ are placed before a sentence, and the ? and ! are placed afterwards, its placed like that so u can read it like as if it were a question right from the beginning

the vowels áéíóú are basically the same, but stress them or say them slightly louder just a bit

    "AH" "EH" "EE" "OH" "OO"

H=silent, J= english H and G can sound like english H or "Guh" like "Grande"

W is not used in Spanish, unless its something being said directly translated from another language like "Washington"

  • @alexcoco11music Thank you for the context.

  • If you have Version 4 TOTALe, you get tutors with Rosetta Stone! Version 4 is AMAZING!!

    Congrats, by the way!

  • @Pikolow1 Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Congratulions on graduation.

  • @DrKojiin Thank you!

  • You should go to Lourdes France. Countless miracles take place at the miraculous springs Our Lady made for healing. Just search the Our Lady of Lourdes on YouTube if you don't know the story.

  • Spanish is all about sounding out the letters individually. EVERY letter has to be pronounced (except H). And remember, every letter is pronounced the same everytime.

    Unless its:

Double L like "un pollo" = a chicken. Remember LL sounds like Y

Double R like "un torro" "a bull", remember RR sounds like a rolled R

If u see R in the front of a word, like "una renovacion" = a renovation, it is also rolled.

Ñ means that it kinda sounds like "onion" the "ni" part.
