*the original version

I initially planned to shoot this video at Morris Brown College in Atlanta (http://www.morrisbrown.edu). So yeh, we showed up, full regalia, optimum crew personnel and everything.

I was able to cop 3 shots total, which we used in the opening of the clip (i.e. LOTUG on the bus, students milling about, establishing shots of the campus) just before we were shut down.

That's right.

The campus security, faculty and anyone else perpetrating authority told us to "Get the f_ck out!"

Without panic, the members of LOTUG and I worked on a recuperative plan. I commend them for jumping into the fray.

Needless to say, I ended up re-shooting in NC at Shaw University (http://www.shawuniversity.edu/), where the trio originally met.

We rented a tour bus, and beat a path to NC. This time we had a crew of about 6, and just under 8 hours to shoot. Shaw University was far more receptive and treated us like royalty. I applaud their president and esteemed faculty for proving themselves real heroes in this matter.

Look closely at the end of the clip to catch a cameo of filmmaker Jonathan Roper.

And also, a huge thanks to Marquita Stokes for being my "ride-or-die" producer at the time.
