A obra mais bela desse compositor minimalista francês do séc. XIX.
As Trois Gnossiennes foram compostas por volta de 1890.
A versão para piano solo das três Gnossiennes não possuem marca de tempo ou compassos, conhecidas como tempo absoluto.
Gnossienne nº 1 foi usada em diversas trilhas sonoras, incluindo o filme Violent Cop (1989), Chocolat (2000), The Painted Veil (2006), Käsky (2008), Paris (2008) e Man On Wire (2008).

  • végre egy verzió, ami rendes tempóban van előadva. Bravó!

  • @ztrek1000 Yes, now I know. I'm not a native speaker of English, meaning that from time to time there's a lousy faux pas, like this one. I have already apologized to the author of the "so sick" comment. Thank you for directing me to Thibaudet. I'm in the process of getting a play off the ground. One of the most important scenes has Gnossienne #1 as background music. The amazing thing about Satie is how much he depends on the interpretation. I will listen to Thibaudet right away. Thanks again.

  • @jaeastman Sorry for my clumsy comment. I really didn't know "sick" could be used that way.

  • @wendyxxixx Thank you. This sort of thing is always happening if you're not a native speaker of the language you're using. I really didn't know about this specific meaning of "sick". It reminds me of Ethel Barrymore making her first talking picture after many years on Broadway and, to the delight of her brother John, being furious at the cameraman who said, "OK. Bring grandmother on to the set." She thought he meant her. He meant the camera. Everybody called the camera "grandmother".

  • illa sevgili edinip ayril, sonrada isyanlari oyna moduna sokacaksiniz, I am from turkey :))

  • just the way it was meant to be..better than Erik himself...hearing this brings to mind how life can be so...just like this piece...thank you for the uplaod.

  • I can't stand to hear this played too fast, or too slow. Every lingers on just right :)

  • @leonardo - uh yes Leo "so sick" means good. hehehe... anyway, I too love extra slow interpretations, very hard to keep it completely cohessive, my favorite though is by the French vituoso Jean-Yves Thibaudet. There's a "French" severity that is not overly Romantic mixed with clean concision that absolutely owns me when he plays Satie. I highly recommend it.

  • a sublime interpretation.thnx for upload :)

  • The perfect music to sleep.
