ViolinTay YTSO 2011 Audition

UPDATE: Unfortunately (for me lol) I was not chosen as a potential finalist. Maybe some other time! Thank you to all of you who left such nice and supportive comments, it really meant a lot to me! Good luck and congratulations to all the potential finalists!

Hey everyone! Here is my audition for the YouTube Symphony orchestra this year! There are 3 orchestral excerpts and 2 solo pieces. Definitely different and harder music than I normally play on my channel :) But I hope you guys like it! There are so many wonderful players auditioning so I have no idea what my chances are, but I'm just excited to potentially be a part of it. I wish everyone who has auditioned luck!

there are loads of very talented accompished violinists out there, why would they all be on youtube, or should I say why would they have to be popular on youtube, the best musicians I have heard on youtube are the ones who dont have thousands of subscribers or views etc.. hence the reason they get selected for the YTSO in all honesty and not the popular ones everyone automatically assumes are the best instrumentalists in the world.

I immediately recognized the Mendelsshohn piece! Very nice! All other pieces sounded terrific. But my knowledge of classical is poor, I hate to admit. But I'd love to see more classical pieces here on your channel. I also requested some Vivaldi if you are up for it. ;) You may not have won this day. But never give up. Sometimes contests are rigged. :( Sometimes it doesn't matter how talented you are. My very lovely stepdaughter lost a beauty pageant to a girl who walked like a troll.

Just keep playing miss. I love the way you play. You also have the charistma which i couldn't explain. One day you'll become big, i'll bet on it! You can do violin concerts someday or open up a school for unfortunate but talented in the Philippines for free but i'll pay you of curz.. You got the talent i need.

That Don Juan is absolutely evil, isn't it? And the worst part (to me) is that for all the hard work it still sounds so ugly, in my opinion--even when it's in the orchestra! D: I thought you did a nice job, though. At least, I'd like to think that it helps us improve as performers to play things that challenging, on top of it being audition material.
