Fascinated by the legend of the crystal skulls and intrigued by the fact that all thirteen skulls were never discovered, Los Angeles-based artist Steven Harrington took it upon himself to craft, create and bury a crystal skull in the desert hoping that his offering would produce the unearthing of the last remaining skull known in existence:
The thirteenth crystal skull, carrying the deepest secrets about the origins of the universe.
In October 2011, Steven got an expedition crew together and embarked upon the journey to bury his crystal skull. This footage documents his quest.
